CBD Cooling Gel Review By CBD Sloth

Luxury Hemp Tea Review By CBD Sloth

This will be the first of several products he will be reviewing by Holistic Hemp Scotland, while he opted to start with the cooling gel due to a sprained ankle he was having which has been ongoing for quite a while, making it an ideal testing ground. This vegan friendly muscle lotion is a great tool for after a heavy workout, a long cardio session or if you’re generally suffering from aches and pains.

What Are The Main Ingredients Present?

Beyond the cannabidiol, which is the main reason you’re purchasing this product, you will also find menthol, cinnamonum, cannabis sativa seed oil, camphora bark oil, eucaluptus, lavender essential oils, peppermint oil (mentha piperita leaf oil), glycerine and xanthan gum.

Why Include Eucalyptus?

Eucalyptus has been used for thousands of years as a tool to help reduce pain and to relieve cold symptoms. I won’t go into detail about how it can help when you have a cold, however it’s high levels of antioxidants and it’s anti-inflammatory properties certainly makes it a critical ingredient for this cooling gel.

Eucalyptus is often taken by people who are suffering from chronic back pain, the same with CBD, so these work perfectly in combination with each other. On top of menthol, eucalyptus also has a cooling effect on muscles. They can soothe tension, which is much needed for my leg right now.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

A single bottle contains 250mg of CBD, while they offer this in one SKU, so you can’t get a higher or lower amount. I used a couple of sprays, however he probably only needed a single spray as it is quite liquidy and provides a decent amount, so start with one spray and then spray another if not enough comes out.

This probably worked out as half a millilitre per spray, so he would get 100 uses out of a single spray, meaning this should cover you for a considerable amount of time, providing you don’t have chronic pains and need it daily.

According to the lab report, you get the majority via CBD at 240mg, with the extra coming from CBDA taking you slightly over at 260mg. They highlight that this is a full spectrum product, meaning you should expect the presence of other cannabinoids, but outside of a slight presence of CBC, there isn’t any more than a trace element of the other cannabinoids.

How Was It?

The skin tightened after application, while it didn’t burn or feel like your skin is freezing, like some others do. The pain didn’t seem as bad after application, but it is hard to precisely measure. The cooling feel kicks in after a few minutes, while it seemed to last for a good hour or two.

The ingredients offer me the belief that they’re working under the skin to help speed up his recovery time and help my ankle to return to a good condition. The most potent smells you get is a mix of eucalyptus and menthol. I’d recommend washing your hands afterwards.

How Long Will This Product Last?

While most CBD products tend to have around a year on the expiry date, with gummies sometimes having 6 months, this cooling gel will have around 24 months till they expire, so it has a nice life expectancy. Obviously this is a best before date, highlighting that the quality might decrease post this date, but not that you can’t use it after this date.

In regards to the number of applications, if you were to spray once per day, being a very regular amount, that would still cover you for 100 days if you applied a single spray. They do however state you can apply it 1-3 times daily, so this might be cut down if you’re having to apply it multiple times to help with any issues you’re having.

Where Can You Buy This From?

You can purchase our Cooling Gel from the website for £30, while it’s worth having a look through my other reviews of this brand’s products before making your purchase.
